Ingredients:

2.5 cups all purpose flour
1 cup margarine*
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
8 tablespoons cold water**

Combine the flour, sugar & salt
Cut in butter with a pastry knife, leaving small and large pieces of butter
Add cold water & mix, until it has a play dough type consistency.

 Put dough in fridge for 1 hour, before rolling***

 It took me quite awhile to find a recipe for pie crust that was true to the crust I was used to as a child.
This one is pretty much as close as I could get!

*You can substitute the margarine for butter or shortening.
I usually use margarine. I've tried it with shortening but find it gets a bit too flaky and you'll need to add more water, to make it more pliable.

**8 tablespoons of water is pretty much prefect for me, but depending on your preference, you may wish to use anywhere from 4-8 tablespoons.

***This recipe works it's wonders when all the ingredients are cold.
You don't have to refrigerate it, but you'll notice a big difference if you do.
